Corsham Opticians has been an independent practice for over 60 Years, offering bespoke quality eye care, from caring and knowledgeable professionals.

We take great pride in providing accessible eye care for all, and offer a wide range of frames, lenses and contact lenses as well as a specialist low vision service.

Cilla Hubbard - Director/Dispensing Optician FBDO Prof Cert LV

Cilla qualified as a Dispensing Optician in 1988 and has worked in high street practice with both well known multiple opticians and high-end independent opticians. After 23 years on the high street, Cilla moved into the hospital eye service in Northampton General Hospital where she ran the low vision service. Cilla has also worked for Moorfields Eye Hospital London preparing patients for refractive corneal surgery and lenticular replacement surgery. She runs the low vision clinic in Corsham Opticians assessing needs and supplying aids where appropriate. She has owned the practice since August 2016.

Fiona Curnow

Fiona is quite likely to be the first friendly face you see in Corsham Opticians as she runs our reception desk superbly. She is highly professional and polite but has a wicked sense of humour underneath! We are very fortunate to have her in the team keeping us all in order.

Rachel Culverhouse Bsc MCOptom, BSc Hons Optometrist

Rachel joined us here at Corsham Opticians in 2025 and has quickly become part of the furniture. She qualified in 1994 from Manchester University and also fits and checks contact lenses. She has a keen interest in children’s eye health and we often hear lots of laughter from her room. Her chocolate brownies are amazing!

Melanie Steel FBDO Dispensing Optician

Mel is a qualified Dispensing Optician and is a self-confessed nerd of optics! She loves the role and is always looking for new exciting frames and discussing lenses in depth. When Mel is not here at Corsham Opticians she is a qualified Reflexologist with a keen interest in cancer care. She also is a fund raiser for men’s mental health as an ambassador for Wiltshire Mind.

Maria Webb Bsc MCOptom Optometrist BSc Hons

Maria has been with the practice since 2019 so will be a familiar face to many. She qualified as an optometrist in 1992 from City University. Maria runs our Dry Eye service and also fits contact lenses so is a key member of the team. In her own time Maria is very creative spending her time with family, walking, & singing.
